maybe the blatant smudge tool used only in those last 3 panels all around the cardboard used to discolor everything but the edges of the cardboard, and around the hands, a feature that’s lacking in all the other panels?
unless those 3 panels of cardboard just happened to get left outside and soaked in dirty rain, except the edges which were protected by Jesus himself.
