However in the Netherlands our infrastructure is very much geared towards bikes so keep in mind that the experience will be different, because they are more difficult to stear and maneuver than a normal bike.

Those are nice! I belong to a bike sharing service and I am able to rent them by the minute or by the hour. It takes a bit of getting used to but you can sure carry a lot of stuff.
