I’m trying to move towards a “vandweller” lifestyle. Obviously, in such a setup, electricity will be at a premium so I won’t be able to run a power-hungry computer 24/7. And there’s really no good e-ink solutions that give me the things I want, while ditching the stuff I don’t.

I did originally start writing as a kid using a pencil and a notepad. Unfortunately, after decades of typing, my printing looks like the scratchings of a rabid chipmunk. It’s slow as hell and I can’t even read it afterwards.

It’s been an extremely long while since I’ve used a typewriter…but I was wondering, do any of you use one currently? Either manual, or electric?

And what are your thoughts on the experience? (Please, rhapsodize away! If you’re a nerd about typewriters, be nerdy!)
