Do you all also get tired of political/leftist/anarchist memes, comics and stuff? (crossposting outside of .ml) - eviltoast

cross-posted from: https://lemmy.world/post/23364294

You know, i do actually very often concur with these memes, like the ones saying billionaires are leaches on society and governments are often used as a weapon to protect the ruling classes.

But man… when i come to lemmy i kinda want to only see memes, and funny stuff… even communities that are not niches to political content get political way too often. Like gotdammit, when i get to c/comics i just want to see funny drawings, i’m way too tired to want to see your lame class war comic…

Is that a feeling i’m the only one feeling?

edit: i think what makes it worse is that very often they’re not even funny, just literal propaganda, “good guy propaganda”, maybe, but still propaganda

Lemmy is doing so great? Then what is this entire post complaining about?

You talk out of both sides of your mouth.

If inventing the fantasy that I’m “angry” helps you deal with reality, fine. But I’ll remind you again that you are the one who posted this silly complaint.

Projecting your negative emotions onto me doesn’t change the reality, however.

I really don’t care that about stranger’s opinion on the internet, i have no reason to be angry at you, much for the contrary, i do respect your opinion. I will not be continuing this discussion further tho, this discussion is getting way too much like reddit, too silly.

Making unreasonable demand of a large group of strangers tends to make people not like you

It’s a shame you couldn’t learn from this behavior and instead still belief that your arrogant demands should be accepted by strangers.

Eventually, sometime in life, you’re gonna learn that lesson of much harder way — until then, if you don’t like it here, there’s an entire rest of the Internet for you to explore and pollute with your silly complaints.

Like i really do enjoy lemmy, people here are lovely. It’s just that people should stop pretending to tell jokes, when they aren’t. We can talk talk about issues, we don’t need jokes without punchlines to express ourselves, we have discussions and spaces for that

Obviously, you still hold the arrogant and absurd belief that anyone here owes you anything, much less every lemmy user altering their behavior so the entire site suits your taste.

You say you like Lemmy, yet you keep complaining about what you don’t like rather than leaving anyone here is going to change Lemmy just for you.

You say you like it here, but you clearly ignore it. Otherwise, expecting anyone to act differently just for you is outrageously ridiculous.

Why is that so incredibly difficult for you to understand?
