It’s incredibly sad how war is something that bolsters economies, and yet I support anything the world can give Ukraine to fight off their invasion and stick it to Putin

That’s true, I was hasty to respond. I but it’s also true that nations sending military aid to Ukraine will see another bolster in government support of their defense industry, where they could have put that money elsewhere, which was my point

This is quite interesting, as commonly weapon system sales can be based on data sheets, video presentations, theoretical scenarios, shooting range tests or 3rd party experience and reports.

In this case, Ukraine was able to test various IFV models from multiple countries in an actual war. And then after testing, Ukraine chose the CV-90. That’s a good selling point for BAE systems.

I know people (international volunteers&UKR nationals) that worked on the CV-90 trial (or worked with it in other countries) and they are highly appreciating it and are extremely happy UKR has chosen it (even the German ones who are very fond of the Puma).

According to them only the German Puma gets close to it but does not offer that much flexibility in terms of variants - the CV-90 is available as AA, Forward Observer, Command, Mortar, Recovery, electronic warfare, engineering, APC. While the Puma currently offers only the IFV and a potential command variant and seems to be much harder to maintain.

Seems like a really good fit for the current situation Ukraine is in. Being able to easily salvage parts from various vehicles with one base can be crucial and it seems like the CV-90 does not have more of a Achilles’ heel than other vehicles.

“The CV-90 is equipped with a revolutionary chassis based on Formula-1 technologies with suspension automatically adapting to the terrain.”

That’s why Verstappen will drive one next season.
