[Beta] This is the only Lemmy client I'm using so it may be a sitewide issue, but is anyone else getting threads from 2-3 years ago mixed in with the other results when sorting by "Hot"? - eviltoast

    Yeah, same. Only use connect so also not sure if it’s systemic, but definitely seeing a lot of old content.

    Some of the ones I saw had new replies. Lemmy has absolutely exploded recently and I’m guessing people are scrolling through all the posts of a community and replying to some of the first posts and then that post gets bumped and more reply. There was one asklemmy post that was 3 years old with hundreds of new comments I saw.

    That is supposedly an issue with the instance you are connected to, not the software you are using to view it. Something about a cache needing to be cleaned on the server, I think.

    One tip I read was to sort by Top for the past 6 or 12 hours. That will kinda give you a more traditional “Hot” post timeline and prevent you from seeing the old posts or the same posts all day.
