Unity has temporarily closed its offices in San Francisco and Austin, Texas and canceled a town hall meeting after receiving death threats. The company made the call as a precaution against possible retribution after it announced a contentious change to its business model this week.
Where do I find one of those? Most communities with any traffic feel like they’re full of the same people with the same axes to grind, just talking about slightly different subjects.
Try looking at trendingcommunities@endlesstalk.org. You may find something of interest there. I too am struggling to find instances that aren’t full of radicals. On reddit there were only a handful of right wing subs to avoid, but like 90% of reddit was left leaning so it was harder to avoid them. The same seems to be true here. I’ve had to block several non-political related communities because they had become overly political.
