I understand your point and there are many reasons why people pirate stuff.
If possible I would spend it on a game or software if you like.
May I suggest games that can be played offline like indie titles if your into them.
Not an indie but still great: Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition it’s 20 euros and when at a discount drops till 3 euros.
I play on Linux myself work great and if your not into those online games with anti-cheats you can consider buying a steam deck.

1·13 days agoAh, the memories of playing Mario Kart with my friends… Those party’s where fun.
I also miss those times where we could bootup a game and play splitscreen. I had an old PC back then which my father upgraded once in a while with parts he got gifted. We didn’t have the money to buy a good PC ourself.
Man what a fun using project64. Me and the guys played Conker’s Bad fur Day so much!

Indeed it creates an flatimage, a file containing a base linux install and a runner of your choice. Wine staging for instance (Emulators also). You can add programs and or games to the package. Creating a one click solution to run software/game(s) without the need of aditional configuration afterwards like with lutris.
Works on all distros
For more info have a look over here: https://github.com/ruanformigoni/gameimage
Just started to replay SA, modded it so it has around 145-160 mods/scripts.
I then created a single image with GameImage so that I have an one click and play file that works on Linux/steamdeck.
Indeed, it didnt get the respect it needs.
Pokemon pinball for the GBA anyone?
No Problem, hope you like it!
in the meanwhile im using Zen Browser.

If an .GameImage can be considered one game, I would have chosen those. On Linux you can create a single one-click package containing multiple games. Made a couple of those you see 😁

For newcomers I would recommend something Luke Linux Mint. Iets stable and very userfriendly.
