Maybe they believe they’re “one of the good ones”.
Maybe they believe they’re “one of the good ones”.
In these politically charged times I think you need to provide a blurb or something to subdue the knee jerk outrage.
“This initiative will help us fulfill our responsibility to share NASA’s story widely and effectively – by reducing the number of accounts, improving the signal-to-noise ratio of content, and making our messaging more unified and accessible.”
So nothing whatsoever to do with cuts that could be headed the agency’s way or dodging an awkward social media moment if an axe should fall on a perfectly functional mission, right? No, this is all about consolidating posts, so users keen on following the Voyager mission don’t have to bother hunting down a feed for the spacecraft; it’ll all be under @NASASolarSystem and @NASAJPL.
Affected accounts, such as @NASAVoyager, will run a version of their greatest hits before the end finally comes and someone presses the archive button. As for what “archived” means, there will be no more posts, and eventually the account will be removed. A spokesperson told us, “As part of this process, we’re working to ensure compliance with record retention requirements.”
I like the direction, but I’d need the transparency to be dialled down a bit cause the contrast is missing.
Glad to hear there’s a toggle to reduce transparency. I’m cautiously excited to try it once it’s ready to ship.
I think it’s a great idea. Will update the sidebar later tonight.
The way I see it iOS and macOS are typically released well into the fall, so it doesn’t make sense to name them 2025 versions when they’ll get the most use and refinement in 2026. Everything else just follows that cadence as secondary systems.
My top three favourites from the PS3 era would probably be Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, and Journey.
In their defense it is acknowledged by the university.
The violin is a microscopic image rather than a playable instrument and has not been officially confirmed as the world’s smallest violin, the university said.
Huh, never knew that was a thing.
And after my shift?
Gonna need a link for that.
If you’ve got it in you, you could head on out to your nearest Asian supermarket and there’s a chance they carry the same, if not similar, tin of hard candies you can buy and cry eating.
If you’re the kind of person with difficulty breathing, this resource might hasten your decision to stock up on higher quality air filters for yourself and your family over the summer.
I’ve never mowed lawns as a landscaping job before, but I think that if you can pull it off it may help show that you can create your own personal motivation and entrepreneurial spirit that employers may appreciate.
If I were to go back and do it as a student, I’d have to consider a number of factors off the top of my head to overcome:
As someone that moved out around your age it irks me a little to hear about parents looking down on their kid like that. The playing field has changed drastically since my day, so I can fully sympathize with your current plight.
Hope that helps or at least gives you something more to consider.
ETA: above all no matter what you find yourself doing don’t get discouraged along the way when people say no. Eventually the rejections will roll off your back and you’ll already be hustling onto the next job!
If the cheese curds aren’t from Quebec, they’re sparkling fries with gravy.
What happens to nationalized locations overseas, do these now function as quasi-embassies? How is pay organized for foreign citizens working at international locations, Canadian tax dollars? Will menu changes be televised on CSPAN from the Canadian House of Commons?
Apple rushing to put out a product is never good for anyone.
Last conversation I had on Reddit years ago a guy in Ottawa had data that showed that he was drawing heat during near -40C.
I’ve got the HG version at home. The swords were always too heavy that I had to hold them in place with bits of malleable erasers lol
I’m surprised they came out with the purple and transparent one.
