No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why aren't people harassing marketers?English
5·1 天前Spot on.
What an absolute load of nonsense. I have spent a decent amount of time in Qatar. I watched what were effectively slaves working away to build stadiums and hotels. It is a fair statement to point out the irony of a place with very strong censorship criticise censorship.
If the BBC lauded a foreign country for the equivalent of bloody Sunday I would point that out too so honestly just jog on.
Edit: just to reiterate, I agreed with the premise up front. It’s not a bad article. That doesn’t take away from a censorship heavy regime criticising censorship through their mouthpiece and I fully acknowledge that AJ is generally decent so no, it’s not racism.
Not at all. I agree with the premise as I said so there was no whataboutism in there. I merely pointed out that a news source from a nation that allows nothing even vaguely approaching what the UK has, to be ironic.
I agree with the premise, but it’s more than a bit of irony that this is coming from Al Jazeera.
All my clothes get the same treatment. Survival of the fittest, baby.
Thanks though. That is cool.

Let’s be real though, a meeting of highly paid, highly skilled people came up with that response then it was sanitised through three more filters before reaching our eyes.
Tell me more. She always seemed relatively sane but I haven’t watched actual TV in a long time.
I have a female friend in STEM who has dealt with an immense amount of misogyny in her field.
That’s really fucking depressing :(

I think this has lost some truth with the advent of very high definition oled phone screens in fairness. I’m a quality whore and having my phone very close to my face is a decent experience for most movies.
Obviously for stuff like Interstellar or Dune I’m going big.
I just got around to watching this tonight based on your recommendation all that time ago.
Fun movie! They obviously had proper budget. The premise was awful but you just have to run with that.
Carmen could run in heels hahaha!
Edit: I just see that she died in 2014. She would have only been 48 :(
Eh, actually that makes more sense lol. I dunno then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It’s not straight.

Looks good and I love that it is offline without ads and trackers.
It’s something I would definitely consider installing for my mum with the caveat that I’d like to see the source published.
