no, i wanted to see if there was a solution before that but i might end up trying that since nothing seems to work
Another scenario, you are a us citizen and they lock you in for exposing your fascist country’s war crimes
I tried to read you in goofld faith but the moment you basically said the dev shouldn’t be able to have a side project, or a life for that matter, because they should be working for you to get the feature you want is unforgivable. It is libre software, you are free to contribute and add it yourself. Value others’ work, you entitled fuck.

ghost_laptop@lemmy.mlOPto Open Source@lemmy.ml•Self hosted web app to track and rate your watched movies2·1 year agoI think another difference is that Movary has some more social features, web sites to track the media you consume often allow you to follow people with the same tastes, see how other people rated things, have recommendations, stats, etc.

That’s my hardware
I honestly rather not install nouveau since iknow it can cause issues and i wouldnt mind installing nvidias proprietary drivers if it makes it work since its not even for me
do you know if i should install the 470xx or the one just called nvidia drivers in the app store?
ill give it a try to the rest tho, thanks!

ghost_laptop@lemmy.mlOPto Linux@lemmy.ml•What's the best way to have a .bashrc that I can use throughout systems?1·1 year agoYeah, recently after posting this I went down a rabbit hole and found out about zsh and fish and I kind of like fish so I’m thinking about going straight to that, what a hard choice.
ghost_laptop@lemmy.mlOPto Linux@lemmy.ml•What's the best way to have a .bashrc that I can use throughout systems?1·1 year agoI think I maybe phrased it horribly, my question was more like, what do I need to learn in order to modify myself the .bashrc by myself instead of using a programme. Does it make sense?

ghost_laptop@lemmy.mlOPto Linux@lemmy.ml•How do I have Japanese fonts displayed in Fedora?1·1 year agoI was trying to do that but I’m unsure what to edit to do that, since most tutorials are using either a Debian based or Arch distro.
I was using a similar guide, and it also talked about the locale.gen, but that file was never to be found, I just searched a bit more into that and this popped up. So it seems Fedora handles things differently, but now I’m unsure what commands to execute since I’m not sure the ones in that thread are also valid for me.
ghost_laptop@lemmy.mlOPto Linux@lemmy.ml•How do I have Japanese fonts displayed in Fedora?1·1 year agoWell, in Firefox’s settings there’s an option to use my own fonts instead of the web site, so I don’t think it’s related to anything like that, but rather some setting within the OS, related to locale config files.
ghost_laptop@lemmy.mlOPto Linux@lemmy.ml•How do I have Japanese fonts displayed in Fedora?1·1 year agoI think it’s pure luck what font does your OS prefer, I was using Pop_OS and it defaulted to Japanese, but I think it’s more common to default to Chinese because of the population size.
