Googling the solution yourself can honestly be such a pain in the ass for some problems. Search engines have become so shite. You’ll find some stack overflow question from 8 years ago that’s no longer relevant, and in the end you might have to consult documentation directly which can take many minutes or hours. I reaaaally hate to say it but LLMs are actually useful for this usecase

That’s kind of understandable tbh. If work takes over your life, making your life about work is an effective way to cope. Maybe remind them that while they may feel their work is important to them and that’s valid, they weren’t asked to work, they were forced by threat of poverty.

I find I need to either/both:

• tell the LLM all the context I can think of, excessively
• remind it to ask me questions about the problem before suggesting solutions.

I just like a working, customizable PC that I’m in control of. KDE Plasma Desktop is everything Windows should have been, and it’s actually for me to control, it’s free, and it doesn’t push BS on me. Fedora btw

LLMs can be good for troubleshooting, but if the first suggestion doesn’t work, the 10th won’t either. Never do any LLM “fixes” that you don’t know are reversible.

IMO: Purely optics / strategic. She knows that Germany is not homophobic enough for the party to keep getting more voters with their current stance. They used extreme views to get their first, extreme voters, now they are trying to grab the big votes from the center.
