Comet C/2023 A3’s coma is about 2.8 feet in diameter and the tail measures about 16.9 feet in length.

Its closest approach to Earth will be on Oct. 11 or 12, according to BBC Sky at Night. It will still be about 44 million miles away.

It’s so tiny! I’m surprised we can see something that small from such a far distance.

For observers in the Northern Hemisphere, comet C/2023 A3 can be found in the constellation Sextans and will rise one hour before the sun, according to Astronomy.com.

The comet will be visible in the Northern Hemisphere in the evening, just after sunset, when it is low in the southwestern sky.

I’m confused. Is the best time to see it just before sunrise or just after sunset??

That’s the only way I use it. I auto-start the panel applet, and it connects automatically for me. My only complaint is that if I let it choose “the best” server to connect to, it picks a server in another state more often than not, and I rather it only pick servers in my state. As a work-around, I force a specific server in my state. The downside is that it probably makes me more trackable to sites since I connect to them from the same IP every time, but I’m sure it doesn’t really matter since they finger print my browser. I’m more concerned with encrypted communication than anonymity anyway. It’s not like the bank or YouTube doesn’t know it’s me when I sign in.

If anyone knows how to make it select among servers within a specific state automatically on auto-start, pls let me know.

I’m guessing they learn to make the first few bombs explode by remote so that they are far enough to be safe. Once they feel confident making a specific bomb, they stop with long remote detonators since they are fairly certain it doesn’t need to be tested.
