To the heroes of Overwatch, We want to keep you up to date on some of the bugs and issues we’re aware of that are affecting the game. This is not a complete list of all currently tracked issues affecting Overwatch 2, rather, this is a targeted list of some known specific issues with this release. We’re sorry for any inconvenience, and we appreciate y’all’s understanding. Our team is working to resolve these issues, and we will provide more information as soon as we have updates! Current Issue...

Current Issues - All Platforms

  • We are investigating an issue where the camera will shift to another player during the Play of the Game highlight
  • We are investigating an issue where a completed match will be marked as “Abandoned” in the Match History of the Career Profile
  • The Snake Wrangler Epic Skin for Ashe is incorrectly locked as a premium reward instead of a free one in the current Battle Pass. We will convert this reward to free later in the season, and anyone who reaches this tier will receive that reward for free then.
  • Investigating an issue with the “Stop! Thief!” challenge from not working in the Underworld Event Mission when you destroy the robot that steals the battery at certain times.
  • It is intended for “Save-a-mari” to be completed on Expert or higher difficulty. The challenge text is not specific to this, and will be corrected in a future update.
  • Midtown is disabled as we investigate an issue with the map

Illari

  • When Illari’s pylon is hacked by Sombra the UI world indicator for the pylon disappears
  • When Illari’s pylon is tossed onto specific parts of the map, the Pylon is instantly destroyed
  • Some of Illari’s weapon VFX are missing from other players’ perspective
  • Career Profile may not be updating correctly for console players, please click here to learn more.
  • Some players are experiencing an LC-208 error, and the team is currently investigating a fix for this issue.

Current Issues - Steam

  • We identified and are working to resolve an issue with purchases on Steam not granting access to the content in the game. For those affected, please try restarting your Overwatch 2 game client.
  • Playing without the Steam Overlay will require the QR code flow for account creation and will block in-game purchases. Click here to find out how to turn on the Steam Overlay 519.
