WWE fans were bowing to Vince, and he already was welcomed back with arms wide open.
To be fair most WWE fans turn on their TV to a specific channel a couple times a week and don’t think about WWE in between those button clicks. Most wrestling fans really. Tons of WWE’s fanbase doesn’t pay attention to the BTS stuff so to them Vince was just ‘old man who puts on wrestling shows we like for all our lives’.

I loved what Benoit did in the ring. It’s what he did outside the ring that overshadowed his wrestling legacy and made him a piece of shit.
So, I suppose Hogan fits the comparison in that way. But, to assume that’s “love” is just plain wrong.
