LotRO is as cozy as I remember it - eviltoast

Haven’t been feeling well this week so I took the opportunity to log into the game for the first time in years. Maybe Past Me knew when she logged out that it was going to be for a while, because she made sure I was in a lovely spot for the sunrise when I came back!

Happy to see Laurelin server is still going strong, I’ve been pottering around it on and off for 12 years now and still never even made it to Moria due to spending all my time farming, smoking pipe-weed on the roof of my hobbit house, and back in the day playing quite a lot of creep and RP-selling dyes in Bree when I should’ve been levelling instead 😅

That’s my Christmas break game sorted, anyway. Do they still do the Yule festival?

Lotro is amazing my wife and I played back in the early days. We played a bunch with my nephews. Good times. I hope I can get my kids into it, while it’s still around. Good to hear it’s still active.

There’s something about it, honestly. I can log in like this after years away and just feel right at home! Even recognise some of the names in world chat, it’s so comforting.

Gotta figure out what to do with all this trash that I was apparently storing in my house, though…

I really should get back into LotRO. When beorning came out I was deeply into it for awhile. I’m sure my bear is still around, ready to make more honeycakes
