Agriculture Victoria says farms at Terang and near Meredith are in quarantine and that the variant of the disease is H7N3, the most common strain to occur in Australia.

Fingers crossed its not H5N1.

      An update to the story says it’s not H5N1 which is the strain that’s crossed to mammals and is devestating wild birds. Still not good news for those farmers and worth watching for chook owners round the place
