Wired Momentum Wireless 4?

I bought the MW4 some time ago, and I couldn’t be happier with the sound. Touch controls and head detection are flimsy, but I can live with it.

Now, lately, I’ve been digging into more audiophile stuff, in which I’m much less than an expert, and have found that, for someone with his music in his phone (FLAC format), the play is to use an external DAC and wired headphones.

But I have noticed that my MW4 come with cables and have an actual audio jack (plus the plane adapter).

Can I use this headphones actually wired, and 1) would I have better quality doing so? and 2) would I need an external DAC? or just a usb <=> 3.5mm adapter would suffice?
