Working the name “Taylor Swift” into any news article is the ultimate 2024 click bait.
It must suck for her PR people. They have to read articles about all sorts of unrelated matters to make sure they aren’t actually about Taylor Swift.
I hadn’t clicked the article yet. I was about to, until I read your comment. Now I don’t want to dignify the clickbait with a click.
But I am still curious: how exactly have they tied Swift into this?
@Zagorath Police commissioner uses clunky TS quote. Needs new PR advisor. New hire is ex-7, and Auerbach’s nemisis. It’s not clear why that has anything to do with Auerbach’s testimony or why he decided to speak up.
IMO this is a prime example of why the media need to shut their damn mouths until a court case is finalised.
Report the crime, report the outcome.
All the shit in the middle does nothing but bias the case and cause mistrials and shit.
Just shut your face ffs.
I guess the media is still winning - they get to keep milking this thing for a lot longer and sow even more division. Yay!
This is the best summary I could come up with:
The Federal Court played host to allegations of cocaine benders, boozy dinners, $10,000 in massage and sex worker services charged to the company card and a $361 steak.
Justice Lee’s quips – watched by tens of thousands of people on the Federal Court’s livestream during this week’s hearings — have reflected the public’s astonishment and even amusement in recent days.
Mr Lehrmann’s barrister Matthew Richardson SC questioned whether the new information – in the form of four affidavits from Seven producer Taylor Auerbach – was sufficient to justify delaying the proceedings.
However, the nomination was later rescinded after court proceedings revealed Seven had paid an estimated $100,000 in rent for Mr Lehrmann over a year, in a financial deal which had not been disclosed to the judging panel.
In the wake of the Spotlight interview, Mr Auerbach left Seven in August 2023 alleging he had been the victim of sustained bullying and anti-Semitism, before reaching a confidential settlement with the network.
Mr Auerbach confirmed during his evidence that he has lost his job as Sky News investigative producer, saying it was for “trust and confidence” issues and denying it related to alleged illegal conduct.
The original article contains 1,300 words, the summary contains 194 words. Saved 85%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!
Lehrmann is soooooo from fucking guilty and such a fucking creep.
I mean its visible from a mile off.
I don’t think anyone can reasonably argue that he is innocent anymore, unless they have some killer evidence. Alot was done by the media to tear up Higgins’ reputation finally it’s his ⸻very deserving⸻ turn
