Emptied out my grinder. Looking for suggestions on how to use it. Thanks.

Barely big enough to contain that. It was full to the brim!

Yeah it’s that simple. It might not be as strong as say bubble hash or wax but you can smoke the coins alone or i like to sangwich them into bowls

I always thought that would be a bad idea. For edibles I prefer to remove all plant matter after extraction. That way only a little bit of off taste remains. With particles this fine you cant strain them away easily. But then maybe most of the kief just melts away? Anyone tried this?

Hm, maybe you can make a food where the weed taste would actually complement the flavor of the dish you’re making, like for example putting it in a basil pesto

Weed doesnt really taste that great, but maybe in a pesto the taste would be lost.

What I do recently is boil the weed prior, get rid of the resulting „tea” and then rinse it a couple of times with boiling water. Takes a lot of those water soluble plant compounds and doesn’t take away too much of the fat and alcohol soluble goodness. After drying I’ve made quite a potent oil out of it which ended up looking greenish like olive oil and honestly wasn’t too bad on a pizza or a croissant.

That’s kind of what I was thinking. I’ve made canna-butter before, but I could never strain out all the bits. But that was with shake, not pure kief.

It’s not available anymore, else I’d link it, but it’s just a cheap 4 piece grinder from Amazon.

Traditionally you can throw kief on top of a bowl and cover it with a bit more green then light. That’s the obvious and straightforward thing to do with it.

You can go further beyond and process it into a form of hash. The current new age thing is heat pressed rosin hash since it can be dabbed, however presses are pricey upfront if you’re lucky a local dispensary or cbd store will let you rent one out for the hour.

The old heads traditionally put boiling water in a wine bottle and roll the hot bottle across the kief folded in parchment paper.

Another option is getting yourself some cheap bubble bags off amazon and learning how to make bubble hash. Usually bubble hash makes more sense when you have a LOT of material to work with but just putting the kief through a 10 minute shake bath in ice water filled mason jar and straining will provide you an excellent sample of bubble hash.

Finally, you may try to use solvents to distill it into an oil based tincture to ingest orally. This is typically done by soaking the flower or kief in pure alcohol until all the oils have been extracted, then boiling off the alcohol (dangerous and requires extreme caution) or decarbing the material beforehand and letting the alcohol solvent air dry in a shallow wide dish.

Honestly… that’s of no real use whatsoever.

Go ahead and package that up and send it to me. I have a pro grade incinerator and will dispose of it for you. In a series of small controlled fires. BTW Hash.

Congratulations! These days id be fine just sprinkling that lovely dust through a bowl over time. There was a time though that this would have been turned into hash

I’ve never made hash, is it difficult?

I used to sprinkle a bit in joints, but I think that contributes to canoeing/running since it would all settle on one side of the j. Perhaps it’s time to bust out a pipe.
