I’m curious about why this post received three downvotes basically right after I posted. Any ideas? Or downvoters, maybe you would be willing to say why?

It has been and continues to be the symbol of regimes that have oppressed and tried to destroy a number of indigenous cultures in Eastern Europe and Asia

Does that mean nearly every European flag and the US and Canadian flags are hate symbols in your perspective?

Sort of, especially the US flag bc of how it’s continued to be used, but not to the same degree, because they represent nations instead of a specific hateful ideology. The Confederate flag, on the other hand, is 100% a hate symbol.

If your talking about Stalinist Marxism-Leninism (which I agree is a bit questionable on what they did and what they support), you should know there is many form of communism using this symbol, even pacifist and lib ones (even marxism used this symbol at the time)

That’s not unlike the situation with the swastika, but in the West it’s still a symbol of hate

The hammer and the sickle are not a symbol of hate for the West, but only for capitalism and fascism. To my eyes, the real symbol of hate is the Dollar
