Dynamic or condenser microphone?

I’m looking to get a proper microphone for my study; little bit of streaming here and there, bit of pc gaming for voice chat, online calls for work/study. So generally a bit of a broad range of uses.

I don’t have soundproofing or any serious setup but I live with my partner in a generally quiet house unless someone rings the doorbell. have been advised to get both dynamic and condenser, then been told to not worry about either, only the pickup pattern.

Frankly it’s leaving me a bit lost.

Anyone have any clear advise for my setup and needs? Which of these two should I be looking into?
