I think we can expect people to wear masks and bosses to respect sick leave requests

Edit: Looks like this is Australia. How has mask wearing and sick leave been on your side of the world?

Masks are voluntary and rarely seen Down Under, contributing to the ongoing local Aussie Covid death toll, with ‘freedom’ being paid for via the lives of the vulnerable, who are given little to no consideration by the majority!

Sorry to hear you have your fair share of MAGA snowflakes to deal with as well, then. It’s amazing how these idiots can spend so much time making up wild theories to avoid wearing what amounts to a piece of clothing, and yet they would throw a fit if someone told them they couldn’t wear a coat in the Winter.

Unlike COVID, cold in winter can actually kill me, so it would be a big problem if I couldn’t wear a coat.

Again, you’re just cherry-picking what you want to believe rather than actually pay attention to the facts. And as quickly as you responded, you obviously didn’t even read what I just wrote. Carry on, snowflake.

                snowflake

projection, covid cannot kill me because I had it twice, both times it was weak shit that I couldn’t even call fever that lasted for less than a week total, and I’m still alive to tell you about it. I didn’t wear the mask, I didn’t get vaccinated, I talked to people, I kissed people, I fucked people, I hugged people and I killed absolutely noone and I had none of these “long covid” symptoms either. My immune system just works. Don’t try to scare me unless an illness is actually a threat to my immune system, jackass.

I did read your gaslighting drivel by the way, doesn’t mean I’m supposed to be gaslighted.

Ah cool, so then you’re already aware that cognitive impairment is one of the symptoms of long covid. Although I suspect you had that affliction before you ever got sick. It’s nice that you so freely admit how little you care for the health of your friends and family though, really shows what kind of a person you are. Peace out.

This wave knocked me on my ass and it’s been the only wave to have done this despite being 5 times vaxxed including the bivalent for 2 months before getting sick.

Maybe it’s just bad luck but the people around me seem to be getting sicker and sicker from this wave.

We can expect more lies as always. A new wave of virus strain comes and goes everyday, the news doesn’t seem to want to cover it unless it’s specifically COVID for some reason… Did Flu get nuked out from the orbit by the lockdowns or something? Why don’t they talk about that more?

There were news articles about this nothingburger of a virus for 3 years now, how long can same cow be milked?

So you’re saying you didn’t pay any attention to the actual information and instead cherry-picked what you wanted to hear in order to get out of wearing a mask? You DO realize that the whole reason the number of cases of flu dropped dramatically (but has been rising again) is specifically because so many people were wearing masks and preventing the spread of the flu and other illnesses? The problem is that people like you continue to deny covid is a problem until you are the one who is lying in a hospital bed dying. No that’s not an exaggeration, I saw a ton of this happening in 2020-2021. The county next to me (which I live only a few miles from the edge of) actually passed laws circumventing the state laws about mask wearing… The result was that they had so many people sick and dying that they were overflowing into OUR hospitals (which had a lot of free beds due to most of us actually following the masking laws). And despite so many of them dying, they STILL held protests every weekend complaining about the masking laws.

Tell me you’re living in a state of denial without telling me you’re living in a state of denial.

Ah yes, covid lockdowns stopped flu because everyone wore masks but covid lockdowns didn’t stop covid because noone wore masks type argument again.

Whether I wear a mask or not doesn’t affect whether hospitals can handle people who are too weak to handle trifle respiratory infection that has abysmal chance of killing anyone including my 73 year old father who is alive and well and will tell you same thing I did.

The fact is that there’s 8 billion people and like 6 million died if I were to believe it. That’s not even a drop in a bucket, and in any case I’m not responsible for any of it, no amount of guilt tripping me will change that.

I believe COVID still kills a lot more people than circulating flu strains as of right now. Also, if you truly believe COVID was a “nothingburger” I would advise you to talk to literally anyone who worked as a medical professional in a hospital in the last few years.

I live on planet where human population is counted in billions and I don’t care about a virus that kills millions.

Wake me up when there’s a disease that kills more humans than humans kill other humans themselves, COVID is literally a nothingburger, more people die from hunger and thirst and war, and I don’t care about the last three either.

If you’re at risk of dying from this then good for you, fuck off and go get vaccinated, don’t act like what I’m doing with my life is going to kill you, because you can go home, barricade yourself and COVID will never reach you until you starve to death.

I shouldn’t need to “distance” myself arbitrarily or wear a mask just because it’s your problem.

Next you will ask me to wear a mask if I ate peanuts in last 5 hours otherwise I may sneeze and wind may carry some peanut mollecules onto your child and that will kill him or something.

I mean, I guess if you’re just outright antisocial like this then your priorities make sense. All the rest of us can do is take solace in the fact that you seem to be completely miserable.
