But only if it’s Dutch.
I’ve been experimenting on babys lately, so here is tonight’s samhain version:
Preheat oven and pan to 220c
Ingredients:
4 eggs. 2 cups ap flour. 200ml milk. 200ml water. Salt. Pepper. Nutmeg.
Make baby batter:
Add all to blender, blend at low speed until smooth. Or just whisk it in a bowl. Let rest 30 mins
Cook the baby:
Add butter to hot pan, then all the baby batter. Immediately throw the baby in the oven.
After about 10 minutes turn the oven down to 420 so you don’t burn the baby.
The baby should be GBD about 20 minutes after that, it’s better to be a little over than under, no one wants a soggy bottomed baby!
Happy Halloween!
This is really good. You can’t even taste the baby.
Preheat to 220c and then turn down to 420?
When your recipe is in c and your oven is in f these things happen.

Definitely came out better than crashing into Mars. I think 3 eggs is better than 4 though.
Is there another one? I thought that was more they used the numbers expecting the company who made it did the standard conversions. So someone didn’t follow procedure there.

Does cross posting exist on Lemmy, or should I just cut and paste?
It does, but I don’t know how to do it!
I’ve never heard about “ap flour”. Not sure if it’s a brand, a type, or just a different cereal
All Purpose. Regular old wheat flour.
Thank you!
Short for armour piercing flour
You get it at millitary surplus stores
two ways I like those (sauce, as the base layer is always the same) - mint infused whipped cream with fresh strawberries, and salted caramel with chopped candied pecans.
I went savory with peas and mushrooms in thyme sauce, but those sound like great sweet options.
you know, I’ve never tried savory! I will give it a try next time, thanks for the suggestion!
Do try it, it makes an easy dinner with some sauteed vegetables.
