Nice. My only suggestion is to check whether the data is actually gone in a week or so… Mine got undeleted multiple times, not all at once, post by post, day by day… Now I’ve edited coments instead. That shit must be gross violation of GDPR. Fuck /u/Spez

I’m a software engineer by trade so adapting this was trivial
Shreddit is great. Have been using it in docker for ages to periodically remove comments that are older than a certain amount of time.
What did you have to adapt, though?
3sec timeout issues, removing extraneous code, more efficiency, ability to run locally rather that using pip, some dependency issues

I’m using Redact, it worked pretty well!
When I get around to doing this I’m going to use a list of random quotes. Reddit is shadow banning comments that say fuck spez.

do you get in trouble with rate limiting? I don’t use reddit myself, just curious.
I built in some 2 second sleeps because the OG shreddit script hit rate limits easily
