Too much red meat is linked to a 50% increase in Type 2 diabetes risk - eviltoast

People who routinely eat a lot of red meat may be increasing their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, according to a new study. Processed meats, like bacon and hot dogs, are linked to an even higher risk.

    Seeing as being overweight is a factor 90% of the time I think something a bit more conclusive is needed because overweightness generally includes a higher than average consumption of red meat

      From the study itself. Obviously you’re not going to claim any conclusions without controlling for other dietary factors, or at least examining their impact. I’m on my phone, so just looking at the abstract.
