His underlying stats were pretty excellent, were they not? Before the doping scandal he was a fantastic goalkeeper, my main question marks around him were during the period after he returned, were he both performed poorly and displayed a questionable attitude.
This last season his stats were more in line with what we saw pre-suspension in Ajax, so if we interpret that as him playing himself back into form again then it shouldn’t be unreasonable to assume (or hope) that he can maintain that level going forward.
He did so for a couple of years at Ajax, after all.
