The Federal government didn’t pocket those folks money. Someone(s) at Consultis did.

The GSA should pay these people out & Consultis should be shut down until the GSA is paid back. If they can’t pay, they should be forced into bankruptcy, just like a normal “citizen”.

The problem is that puts some of these people and many many others, who are completely innocent, out of a job. It’s contracting, typically if you don’t work you don’t get paid unless you take leave.

Not really. You just do the job but the middle man contractor changes. If they don’t give the one contracts then others will get them and need workers. The contracting company tries to bamboozla yeah into thinking you should not have your resume at several places but anyone smart does just that. Its a lot like how they tell you not to discuss wages.

You still have to apply to the job and the new company doesn’t necessarily have to hire you. I know many people who lost their jobs when a federal contract went to a new company even though the actual job didn’t change.

Yeah but thats a fact of life with contracting. You get extended or not. You stick around or you don’t. When im contracting im basically always ready to inerview and actually you by and applying is minimal. The companies hit you up about contracts and see if your available.

It’s almost like the economic calculation in exchange value is flawed. And could do with something better.
