Attached: 1 video The term "authoritarian" is misleading to the point of being meaningless. Capitalists are authoritarian to create & maintain the most catastrophic system of exploitation in history. Communists are authoritarian for the purpose of creating & maintaining the system of emancipation for all people. Furthermore, authority can either be vested explicitly with checks and balances, or it will arise implicitly as charismatic individuals gravitate into positions of power. 👇

    Authority can have checks and balances. Authoritarianism by definition seeks to exceed and remove checks and balances.

    The actual definition of authoritarian is “favouring or enforcing strict obedience to authority at the expense of personal freedom.”

    You are correct in saying that it does not matter what system authoritarianism is attached to.
