Sad day. Been using Sync for many years. Fuck Spez and fuck Reddit.
Now counting down the time old reddit get on the chopping block
I doubt they’ll be getting rid of old reddit. The main reason third party apps were shut down was so that reddit could serve ads. They can serve ads on old reddit. Old reddit also isn’t being updated anymore so development costs are really low.
I remember the post made by r/hentai mod that explain about how api affect his “job” and from the chart in the post old reddit only account for a very small percent of users. Hope you right though.
I’m really looking forward to Sync for Lemmy too. In the meantime, Connect and Liftoff are similar
