There is a discussion on Hacker News, but feel free to comment here as well.
I switched my laptop to Wayland ages ago. One screen, not used for anything complicated. KDE Wayland had everything it needed years ago.
My desktop PC is used for gaming. XWayland Freesync, multiple screens at different refresh rates and DPIs and so on. Wayland was missing support for things it needed until fairly recently, but even it got switched over last year.
Wayland is pretty mature now, and devs are chasing down the last edge cases.
Like reliable screen sharing? :o
Does fucking Nvidia Support Wayland now(meaning full fan control)?
No idea - I intended to run Linux when I chose my current hardware, so there’s no Nvidia GPUs in any of it.
Well wenn my 2070 is outdated I will also go team red. Until then x11 it is
