Destiny 2 is going to get rid of one of its currencies like it did with its content - eviltoast

Bungie has announced in its latest Destiny 2 this Week at Bungie blog a major change to the game’s economy. Legendary Shards, one of the game’s many, many currencies is going away.

Bungie will be removing the currency entirely from the game with the launch of the next expansion, The Final Shape. However, changes will start taking place at the launch of Season 23, which is kicking off at the end of November.

I have way more than I could possibly need, and really don’t mind their idea to remove them. What I am a bit “salty” over is the lack of currency exchange for their removal.

I would love to trade in a bunch to get prisms, ascendant alloys or the one to get the enhanced perks (I forget the name). But Bungie still has their arbitrary limits in place. Again, I support the removal, but I did still grind to accumulate them, so not being able to turn them into something useful feels like a waste.
