They don’t have a clue what they’re even arguing about. The conservatives I know aren’t against trans people, they’re against “indoctrination” in the schools and supposed doctors pushing people into transitioning. Those conservatives don’t even know current laws or the laws politicians are proposing. Fight that misinformation and fear mongering.
You’re not wrong but how? A lie is halfway round the world before the truth has got its boots on. That’s the problem to reacting to all the right wing hate mongering. They have no issue with lying, cheating, whatever it takes. By the time you correct them, they’re already on to the next rage baiting lie. And rage runs much hotter than calm consideration for most people.
The only way is not to fight every lie. It’s to teach people how to spot them.
